This time, in the update process, tell the system that you will install the driver manually and then direct the dialog box to the driver you just downloaded and install it, following the instructions on screen to complete the process. Once done, return to your Device Manager, find 'Display Drivers' and right-click over it, selecting 'Update Driver' again. If not, then launch the Intel Driver and Support Assistant and then instead of clicking on 'Install' on the page that appears before you, expand the driver listing and click on the link reading 'Learn more about this update.' This will take you to the driver's manual download site, where you can download the item independently and save it to your Desktop. In the next window that pops up, locate and expand the line reading 'Display Drivers.' Your Intel item will appear there - right-click over it and select 'Update Driver' from the list that appears and see if it updates this way. To do this, right-click over your Start button and select 'Device Manager' from the list that appears.
